Made in 3 hours for Trijam #288: Break a box and see what happens.

The remarkable thing about science is that it gets messy fairly quickly.

Such is the case with Schrödinger and his cats. And when you're as famous as Schrödinger, you're bound to have plenty of guys after your research.

With your ingenuity and wit, you managed to improve one of the laser pointers you used to keep the cats entertained, turning it into a newly improved, state of the art weapon of mass destruction.

Defend your lab from rival physicists and set your many cats free from their cardboard imprisonment. Be careful not to hit any cats on their way out or else theories would be the least of your concerns.

Controls

  • WASD to move
  • Mouse and L. Click to aim and shoot
  • Boxes don't do damage
  • The game ends upon shooting a cat or colliding with an enemy

Team

Schrödinger's Cat-astrophe was designed and developed by a 3 person team: aiyujellies (art), Tyresty (coding), SquareEpic (music, art alt).

Great gameplay! I like the fact that shooting at a guy needs the player to avoid a line of sight with cats. Could be funnier if the laser crosses targets.

The Reset button doesn't work with me (Firefox Browser)

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed our silly game and concept!

I'm actually not too sure why the reset button's not working 😭. I'm on Chrome myself and it works just fine, but when SquareEpic tried on Chrome, it didn't work for him either.

Maybe the true Schrödinger moment is the game exists in multiple playable states until its observed (actually played) 🤝
